Didier Eribon is a French philosopher and sociologist, known for his ground-breaking biography of Michel Foucault, and for Returning to Reims, an inquiry into the direction of leftist politics in the contemporary world, the French working-class, and the role of sexual identity in finding oneself. It was recently adapted into a documentary by Jean-Gabriel Périot, narrated by actor Adèle Haenel. He is also the author of Insult and the Making of the Gay Self.
